Our Founder’s Story
Marbeana Coffee was founded by Ahmed Abdulai, a lifelong coffee lover and enthusiast whose relationship with coffee goes far beyond the cup. Since 2016, Ahmed has been actively trading and sourcing coffee as a coffee broker, working directly with farms and exporters across Africa and other coffee-producing regions.
His deep curiosity and respect for coffee led him into extensive research, particularly into African-origin coffees, exploring their history, terroir, and unique flavor profiles. From the highlands of Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee, to emerging origins like Jos Plateau in Nigeria, Ahmed’s passion has been to uncover Africa’s hidden coffee gems and bring them to the global stage.
